Creating A Healthy Meal Routine

The end of summer is approaching quickly and Californians struggle this time of year to get back into a healthy meal routine as they return from vacation. It can be difficult to get back into the swing of things after that extended vacation but we’re here to help with some great tips! These are easy tricks to help you stay healthy when you don’t have time.

1 Follow a simple diet that is reasonable for you

Drastic meal plans often fail so going good turkey might not be the smartest. Follow a diet with simple guidelines that you know you can follow. For example, cutting out sugary drinks, not eating at the vending machine, skip the dessert and so on.

2 Create a set meal routine

It’s easy to skip out on meals, especially breakfast. By setting a routine you’ll be less likely to binge eat or feel like a scavenger and eat anything in sight after starving yourself for half the day.

3 Meal prep

If you’re not a morning person, then prep your breakfast the night before. Packing a lunch for work or school with lots of healthy snacks will help kill that temptation to eat a cookie on break. Meal prep and planning really helps you to stay on track when you’re in a rush.

4 Don’t over (or under) think it

Eating healthy shouldn’t be hard, especially with a little bit of planning and effort. It’s all about making up your mind to eat healthy and then following through with it. You got this!
